PRESENT TENSES

Simple Present

             It is used:

            *For repeated actions or habits (especially with frecuency adverbs)
                  He always washes his car every monday afternoon
            *For permanent situations or states
                   They don't live in madrid anymore
            *For schedule or programs
                   The plane arrives at 10:20pm
            *For permanent truths or law of nature
                    Water freezes at 32°F
            *In exclamatory sentences that begin with there or here
                     There she goes!

             

  TIME EXPRESSIONS : 

Every day/week/month/year, usually , sometimes , always , rarely ,never,often, in the morning/afternoon/evening ,at noon ,at night,etc


Present Progressive

              It is used:

             *For temporary situations
                   He is staying with his uncle this weekend
             *For action happening at or around the momentof the speaking
                   Joseph is reading "the lord of the ring" right now
             *For changing or developing situation
                   The peruvian gastronomy is becoming popular around the world

Present Perfect

             It is used:

             *For recently completed action
                  He has painted his bedroom
             *For personal experience or changes which have happened
                  I have won the lottery
             *Forcompleated past actions
                  I have built my brother's house 

Present Perfect Progressive     

            It is used:

            *For actions that started in the past and continuing up to the present
                 I have been working for ten years
            *For expressanger,irritation or criticism
                You have been eating my sandwich
